About Twice A Child Podcast: Caregiving for the Culture

Tanya Woods and Lauren Lowery are entering the podcast space! The Chicago natives launched Twice A Child Podcast on Tuesday September 1, 2026, while the first episode is set to premiere after Labor Day, Tuesday September 8that Noon with special guest, Chicago Area Attorney and former caregiver, Gloria Materre.

Twice A Child Podcast is a candid, unpolished look at the caregiving industry; relaying best practices and real-world experiences to assist communities of color with end-of-life care tools to improve decision-making. The pod and webcast will be released every Tuesday in September and October making up a loaded season one, which will feature appearances from public health professional and former caregiver Courtney Avery and Senior Housing Developer and Faith Leader Pastor John Breslin. Additional episodes feature caregiving experts and family members plus resources from Northwestern Hospital’s Alzheimer’s Day and The Alzheimer’s Associations “Release the Silence” Day.

The podcast will be released in partnership with the Estate Planning Practice at the Westside Justice Center and Real Estate Development Firm FP Commercial Advisors; produced by the Transforming Urban Media Network.  Episodes are set to be available through all major podcast platforms by simply searching Twice A Child Podcast or www.TwiceAChildPodcast.com (Spotify, Apple, YouTube)

With Twice A Child Podcast, the former caregivers expand on the vision and success of their private practices as lawyer and real estate professional.  Both Tanya and Lauren dive into various topics with candor, including socio-political-economics and America's complicated history with race and resources for people of color.
